Location

Open the bonnet and look at the left-hand side of the engine bay, right beside the battery under a wide black cover. Pull the release catch at the front edge of the cover and lift it off; the fuse map is moulded or printed on the inside of the cover.

The engine bay box on the Focus Mk3 contains the high-current supplies to the body control module (which lives behind the glovebox and carries most interior fuses), plus the Quickclear heated windscreen fuses and the engine relays. The PowerShift automatic has its own transmission module fuse. Diesel versions swap the ignition coil fuse for glow plug circuits. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
