Location

Open the bonnet and look at the rear left corner of the engine bay, close to the battery and bulkhead. Unclip the black cover along its front edge and lift it up to access the fuses and relays inside.

The maxi fuses feed the cooling fan, ABS/ESP pump and glow plug system, while the relays switch the fuel pump, fan stages and starter. Petrol and diesel versions share the box but some positions differ between engine codes, so always check the diagram moulded into the lid. Make sure the ignition is off before removing any fuse or relay. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
