Location

Open the driver's door and look at the end face of the dashboard, where it is hidden when the door is closed. Pull the rectangular trim cover off by its recessed edge; the fuse holder with its coloured mini fuses is directly behind it, and a plastic puller is usually clipped inside the cover.

This panel protects interior and comfort circuits. Four door control units each have their own 30 A fuse for the window regulators, so a dead window on one door usually points to its individual fuse. Positions for optional equipment (trailer socket, heated seats, parking aid) are only populated when the car has that equipment. Fuse assignment varies by equipment level and production year. Always confirm with the label on the fuse box cover or the owner's manual.
