Known weak points
- Fuel injector and pump wear sensitive to fuel quality, causing hard starting and rough running
- EGR valve clogging with soot, causing rough idle, hesitation and warning lights
- Turbocharger wear from oil starvation if oil change intervals are neglected
- DPF (FAP) loading up on short trips, with frequent regenerations and additive (Eolys) depletion
- Timing belt and tensioner wear; interval must be respected to avoid engine damage
- Glow plug failure causing hard cold starts and white smoke
